Geraldine M Sasser

Geraldine Mariem Sasser, age 76, of Corbin, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 4, 2008, at Baptist Regional Medical Center.
She was born in Woodbine, KY, the daughter of the late Luther B. Smith and Bessie J. Troutman. She was a homemaker and Pentecostal by faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Delmar Sasser; brother, Troy Troutman; Sisters-in-law, Arnis Smith and Mary Smith; brother-in-law, Harv Setser and by a grandson, Douglas Paul Guinn.
She is survived by her seven Children, Brenda Hurst and husband Greg of Sacremento, CA, Carol Guinn and husband George, of Gray, Kathy Patrick and husband Eugene of Rockholds, Teresa Alcamo and husband Jeff of St. Louis, Bill Sasser and wife Beverly, Lonnie Sasser and wife Angie, Ruth Wells and husband Kevin all of Corbin; 17 Grandchildren, and 14 Great Grandchildren; Special friends, Rudell Childers, Paul Reynolds, and Bill and Mary Wells, Brothers, Clifford Smith and wife Marie, and Earl Smith all of Greenville, OH, Robert Smith of Gray; Sister, Genieva Setser of Greenville; Sister-in-law, Ann Smith of Gray; numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Special caregivers, Deana Jones and Vickie Bryant of Professional Home Health, BRMC Employees with special thanks to Vonda and Tonya in CCU, and Employees of the Heritage and special nurse, Susan Helton.
Funeral service will be on Saturday, June 7, 2008, at 2pm at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with Rev. Bobby Joe Eaton officiating. Burial will follow in the Brafford Cemetery in Gray, KY where her grandsons and nephews will serve as pall bearers.
Visitation on Friday, June 6th, from 6-9pm at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home.
