Gleta Gloria Gilbert

Gleta Gloria Gilbert, age 80, of Lexington, passed away on Tuesday, August 28, 2012, at UK Good Samaritan Hospital in Lexington. Born in Knox County, she was the daughter of the late Millard Gilbert and Myrtle Taylor Gilbert. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Dewey and Curtis Gilbert; and sisters, Edith Angelo, Verla Bevins, Cora Jones, Doris Gilbert, and Patricia Gilbert Maloney. She is survived by daughter, Suzanne Scroggins; sister, Peggy Gilbert Childress of Louisville; brothers, Eugene Gilbert and Leroy Gilbert, both of Corbin; and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends, all who mourn her passing. Visitation will be held from 12 Noon Saturday, Sept. 1, until the time of the funeral at 1:00 pm at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home, 607 Master St., Corbin, KY. Officiating will be Rev. Bill Mitchell.
