Goldie B. Vanzant

Goldie B. VanZant, 78, of Corbin, passed away on Wednesday, July 30, 2008, at Baptist Regional Medical Center.
Born in Leslie County, she was the daughter of the late Adrian Bray and Sylvania Howard Bray. She was a retired mold operator for Certain Teed and CTA, and was Christian by faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Leon VanZant; son, Ronnie Darrel VanZant; grandson, Timothy Leon VanZant; granddaughter, Teresa Lynn VanZant; brother, Albert Bray; and sister, Sophia Pratt.
She is survived by six children, Brenda G. VanZant of Corbin, Larry VanZant and wife Janet of Indiana, Kay King and husband Mike of Corbin, Linda Simpson and husband David of Corbin, Ricky VanZant and wife Vicki of Indiana, and Elaine VanZant of Corbin; thirteen grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brother, Early Bray of Leslie County; and sister, Stella Hoskins of Leslie County.
Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Saturday, Aug. 2, 2008, at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with Bro. Frank VanZant Jr. officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Friday, Aug. 1, at the funeral home.
