Goldie Ruth Rowland

Goldie Ruth Rowland, age 96 of Corbin passed away on Friday, February 6, 2009, at Baptist Regional Medical Center in Corbin.
Born on August 1, 1912 in Corbin, she was the Daughter of the late Garrett and Nancy Westerfield White.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by Husband, Kirt Rowland; two Sisters, Gertrude Stewart and Violet White; and five Brothers, Chester, Fred, Charles, Paul, and David White.
She is survived by a special nephew, whom she raised as a Son, Michael White and wife Dotty of Corbin, and their daughters, Shauna Horn and Sherri Arvin and grandson, Kinly Horn. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Funeral service will be at 2pm on Monday, February 16, 2009, at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with Rev. Bobby Joe Eaton and Rev. Paula Farmer officiating. Entombment will follow in the Gray Cemetery.
Visitation will be on Sunday, February 15th, from 6-9pm at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home in Corbin.
