Gordon Luther Wallen

Gordon Luther Wallen, 63, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 3, 2004 in Bardstown, KY. Born May 29, 1941 in Siler, Kentucky, he was the son of the late George Absalom Wallen and Virginia Juanita Peace Wallen. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps.
Preceding him in death, in addition to his parents, was his brother George Wallen.
He is survived by his wife Ruby Mae Mooneyham Wallen of Corbin; a son, Stephen (Steve) Wallen of Louisville; a daughter, Tina Marie Back of Bardstown; 3 brothers, Ronald Wallen and Donald Wallen of Phoenix, Arizona and Charles Wallen of Louisville; 3 sisters, Loretta Reeves of Louisville, Kathy Moore of Florida and Marianne Graham of Ohio; 5 grandchildren, Kristy Roberts, John Roberts, Jessica Wallen, Brittany Back and Dalton Wallen; 3 great-granchildren, Kalyn Carmack, Kyle Hornback and Brianna Carmack; 46 nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and one great-great nephew.
Funeral services will be held at 3:30 pm Saturday, Nov.6, at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Mooneyham Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 9:00 pm Friday, Nov. 5, and from 2:00 to 3:30 pm Saturday at the funeral home.
