H. Wayne Calder

H. Wayne Calder, 79, of Corbin, passed away Tuesday, November 16, 2010, at the Hillcrest Nursing Home.
Born in Laurel County, he was the son of the late Dallas and Catherine "Kitty" Gregory Calder. Wayne had been an engineer for National Standard in Corbin, was a member of the Felts Chapel Methodist Church, and was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, R.D., Denver, and Dallas Calder; and a sister, Burlene Calder.
He is survived by his wife, Carmella Cloyd Calder; son, Doug Calder of Corbin; daughter, Lisa Gilbert and husband Phil of New Albany, Indiana; two grandchildren, Nikki Gilbert and Cody Woodlee; great-granddaughter, Delanie Woodlee; sister, Corinne Dale and husband Curtis of Bowling Green; and three brothers, Bruce Calder and wife Tee of Saraland, Alabama, Bob Calder and wife Kathleen of Irvine, and Burlyn Calder and wife Nina of Corbin; special sister-in-law, Jeannette Grove and husband Robert; and sister-in-law, Kim Cloyd, all who mourn his passing.
Graveside services will be at 2pm Thursday, November 18, at the Felts Chapel Cemetery with Rev. Charles Spice officiating.
There will be no visitation.
The Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home, 607 Master Street, Corbin, KY, is in charge of arrangements.
