Hareweda Brackett

Hareweda Brackett, 87, of Corbin, went to be with her Lord, peacefully with family by her side, on Thursday, June 29, 2017 at Baptist Health in Corbin.
She was born February 22, 1930 in Gray, Kentucky.  She attended Living Waters Pentecostal Church and was a devout Christian who dedicated her life to the Lord.  She enjoyed gardening, landscaping, and wildlife.
Hareweda was preceded in death by her parents, Jonah and Alice Brafford; husband, Willie D. Brackett; brothers, Charles Brafford and wife Sue, and Troy Brafford and wife Nannie; and sister, Janice Smith.
She is survived by sisters, Wilma Helton and husband Elisha, Jr., and Sue Brock and husband S. T.; brother-in-law, James Smith;  many nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, July 3, 2017 at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with Rev. Charlie Humfleet officiating.  Burial will follow in Brafford Cemetery at Gray.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home located at 607 Master Street in Corbin.
