Harold "Bud" Allen

Harold "Bud" Allen, age 69, of Corbin, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday December 21, 2023, at St. Joseph Hospital in London, Kentucky.

Born in Harlan County, Kentucky, he was a son of the late Beverly Paul "B.P." Allen and Etta Cornett Allen. Bud was a heavy equipment truck driver and was a US Army veteran having served during the Vietnam era.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Mae Lewis, Jeanette Reece, Grace Brown, Beverly White, David Ingram, Nancy Owens, Rondall "Tuffy" Allen, and Ernest "Rusty" Allen.

He is survived by his daughter, Stevie Allen, stepdaughter, Marie Romines, grandchildren, Gaven "Rufus" Newberry, Haven "Ray Ray" Allen, and Madalyn "Gert" Newberry, great grandson, Elijah Lee Newberry and great granddaughter, Everleigh Jordan Monhollen, and by many nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Visitation will be from 6-8pm on Wednesday, December 27, 2023, at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home, where his funeral service will be held at 2pm on Thursday December 28, 2023.

Burial will follow in Locust Grove Cemetery.
