Hazel Mae Hodge

Hazel Mae Hodge, age 83, of Corbin, passed away on Sunday, June 5, 2011, at the Laurel Heights Nursing Home.
Born in Washington Courthouse, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Ona Sayre and Clara Mae Oldaker Sayre. She had worked as a secretary for the High Speed Oil Co.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Cas Gilbert Hodge; and three sisters, Nellie Margaret Sayre, Joan Sayre, and Garnet Mueller.
She is survived by a son, Gilbert Hodge and wife Jennifer of East Bernstadt; daughter, Mary Lou Taylor of London; grandsons, Dennis Taylor and wife Charlotte, David Taylor and wife Tonya, and Joseph Taylor and wife Chapel; granddaughters, Lane Wesley Meek and husband Dustin, Elizabeth Ann Warren and husband PJ, and Whitley Sayre Hodge; seven great-grandchildren; brother, Roy Sayre of Garretsville, Ohio; sister, Isabella Vesa of Akron, Ohio; and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends who mourn her passing.
Funeral service will be at 11am Thursday, June 9, at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with Rev. Darrell Napier officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Wednesday, June 8, at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home, 607 Master Street, Corbin, Ky.
