Hazel Marie Powell, age 77, of Lily, passed away on Friday, December 10, 2004 at the Jackson Manor Nursing Home.
She was born on August 30, 1927 to the Late Hiram Hyden and Maggie Nolan Hyden Smith.
She was retired from American Greetings, and was a member of the Old Path Holiness Church in Corbin.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a Son, Wallace Powell; one Brother, Delbert Hyden and Two Sisters, Addie Davidson and Della Philpot.
She is survived by her husband, Delmer Powell; Her Children, Donald Joe Powell, Woodrow Powell and wife Janet, Ronnie Powell, and wife Carolyn, and Brenda Burkhart all of Lily; Richard Powell and wife Glenda of Keavy; Cathy Hillard, Gary Powell and wife Jayne all of Lily, and Delmas Powell and wife Linda of Woodbine; One Sister, Joyce Reed of Dry Ridge, KY; one Brother, John Hyden of Clay County; 20 Grandchildren, 24 Great Grandchildren, and 2 Great Great Grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held on Monday, December 13, 2004 at 1:00pm at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with Pastor Bowman officiating. Burial will follow in Cumberland Memorial Gardens at Lily with her Sons and Grandsons serving as Pall Bearers.
Visitation will be from 6-9pm on Sunday at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home.
