Henry Allen Campbell, age 91 of Corbin, passed away Friday, July 3, 2009, in Michigan.
He was born in Indian Creek, Kentucky, the son of the late Henry A. Campbell and Nettie Sue Fisher Campbell.
Henry was a retired Truck Driver for the Wonderbread Bakery and was Pentecostal by Faith. He was a US Army Veteran of World War II and was a member of the Cumberland Valley Lodge #751 of Gray.
In addition to his Parents, he was preceded in death by his Wife, Wilma Campbell; Grandson, Kenneth Allen Adkins; Sister, Bessie Ingel; and Brothers, Willie and Bennie Campbell.
He is survived by five Children, Henry Allen Campbell Jr and wife Cheri of Grass Lake, MI; Beverly Urban and husband Jim of Livonia, MI; Shelby Jacobs and husband Roger of Dearborn Heights, MI; Wendy Scott and husband Charlie of Corbin; and Jackie Campbell and wife Liz of San Diego, CA; 14 Grandchildren; 16 Great Grandchildren, and 5 Great Great Grandchildren; as well as, numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Funeral service will be at 1pm on Tuesday, July 7, 2009, at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with Rev. Charlie Humfleet officiating. Burial will follow in the Rest Haven Cemetery in Corbin with Military graveside honors by the VFW Post 1410 of Corbin.
Visitation will be on Monday, July 6th, from 6-9pm at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home, with Masonic rites by Cumberland Valley Lodge #751 at 7pm on Monday.
