Pastor Henry Harrison Westerfield, Jr., age 62, passed away on Friday, June 20, 2014 at his residence.
Born in Ohio, he was the son of the late Henry Harrison Westerfield, Sr., and Ruth Anna Wren Westerfield. Henry was the owner/operator of Econo-Cool and was also pastor of the Trinity Baptist Temple in Corbin.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers: Charles Bruce Westerfield and Chester Westerfield; and by a sister, Marjorie Ruth Woods.
He is survived by his wife, Sue Monhollen Westerfield; three children: Michael Westerfield of Lily, Hank Westerfield and wife Melissa of Lily, and April Patterson and husband Bill of London; nine grandchildren: Michael Coty Westerfield, Brittany Westerfield, Brooke Westerfield, Samantha Westerfield, Emily Westerfield, Olivia Westerfield, Taylor Barton, Tyler Barton, and Austin Patterson; two step-grandchildren: Elisha Johnson and Karresha Patterson; four great-grandchildren; brother, Joseph O'Neal Westerfield and wife Peggy of Pikeville; two sisters: Norma Jean Pridemore and husband Leonard of Corbin and Flora Maxine Branthoover and husband Charles of Glasgow.
Funeral service will be at 11 am Monday, June 23, at Trinity Baptist Temple in Corbin with Bro. Noah Broughton and Bro. David Carr officiating.
Burial will follow in Merrimac Cemetery in Laurel County
The family will receive friends from 6-9 pm Sunday, June 22, at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home.
