Herman Paul Rapier

Herman Paul Rapier, 58, of Woodbine, passed away on Sunday, July 25, 2010, at Saint Joseph London.
Born in Alva, Kentucky, he was the son of the late James Arthur and Myrtle McVee Rapier. He was a retired custodian for Corbin High School, was a member of Chapel Grove Baptist Church, and was a veteran of the military.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Elzetta Elliott and Valeria Rose; and brother, James Donald Rapier.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret Rapier; three children, Paul Rapier and wife Vickey of Woodbine, Melissa Perkins of Barbourville, and Tonya Lynn Rapier of Woodbine; four grandchildren, Paul Henry Rapier, William Arthur Perkins, James Allen Rapier, and Alexandria Perkins; two brothers, John Richard Rapier and Ernest Rapier; two sisters, Loretta "Hazel" Lively and Vesta Wyatt; and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends who mourn his passing.
Funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm Wednesday, July 28, at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with Bro. Jimmy Elliott officiating. Burial will be in the Deaton Cemetery at Gridler.
The family will receive friends from 6-9 pm Tuesday, July 27, at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home, 607 Master Street, Corbin, KY.
