Herman Tucker

Herman Tucker, age 70, of Keavy, passed away on Wednesday, June 5, 2013, at his residence.
Born in Whitley County, he was the son of the late James Tucker and Orpha Wilson Tucker. He worked in the roofing business.
In addition to his parents, Herman was preceded in death by his brothers: Amos, Luther, Joe, and Thomas Tucker.
He is survived by two children: Danita Smallwood and James Tucker; four sisters: Eslie Sawyers and husband Dulano of Norwood, Ohio, Christine Brantley of Indianapolis, Maxine West and husband Herschel of Indianapolis, and Irene Sowder and husband James of Eubanks; brother, Oscar Tucker and wife Sheryl of Alexandria, KY; several grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends who mourn his passing.
Funeral service will be at 12 Noon on Saturday, June 8, at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Cook officiating. Burial will be in the Locust Grove Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6-9 pm on Friday, June 7, at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home.
