Hettie Marie Dugger

Hettie Marie Dugger, 97, of Gray passed away Saturday, Nov. 1, 2014 at The Heritage.
Born in Whitley County, she was a daughter of the late Uriah and Minnie Mae Hill. Hettie was preceded in death by her husband Ovia H. Dugger, a daughter Doris Dugger, a son Chester Floyd Dugger, and all of her sisters and brothers: Pliny (Gertie), Mattie, Lillie Mae, Mary, Roy Lee, and Daniel (Bud).
She was a longtime member of Calvary Baptist Church. Her church life and time spent with family members were among her greatest joys.
Survivors include a daughter Linda Jones and husband Larry of Gray; eight grandchildren and spouses: Byran Jones and Stephanie, Adrian Jones and Tessa, Greg Cord and Kim, Connie Cord, Teresa Robinson and Mike, Flora Jean Hadley, Michelle Dugger, and Chester Floyd Dugger, Jr. and Beverly; several great and great-great grandchildren, along with nieces and nephews.
Hettie's funeral will be held at 11am Tuesday at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Kevin Roach officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, great grandsons, and nephews.
Visitation will begin at 6pm Monday at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home, and 10am Tuesday at Calvary Baptist Church.
