Hettie Wyatt Owens

Hettie Wyatt Owens, 82, of Corbin passed away Sunday, August 12, 2012, at Oak Tree Hospital.
Hettie was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, R. L. Owens, Jr., her parents, John and Mollie Herron Wyatt, and four siblings: Nancy Johnson, George Wyatt, Edith Buttery, and Betty Muncy.
With her husband, she was co-owner of Owens Auto Parts and Garage in Corbin.
Hettie leaves a daughter, Betty Sue Surmont and husband Steve; four grandchildren, John Surmont, Stephanie Pennington and husband Trae, Stacy Jones and husband Kyle, Becky Walker and husband Bobby; eight loving great grandchildren, Payton, Kali, Lake, Tyeler, Isley, Luke, Tobey and Tag; and her special caregivers, Linda Lawson, Debbie Poynter, and Brenda Berry.
Visitation will be from 11am Wednesday, August 15 until her funeral at 1pm at Central Baptist Church. Rev. Ron Green and Rev. Chad Fugitt will officiate.
Interment will follow at Pine Hill Cemetery, with John Surmont, Trae Pennington, Kyle Jones, Bobby Walker, and Stephen Mulberry serving as pallbearers.
