Hilda Mae King Payne

Hilda Mae King Payne, age 86, of Gulfport, MS, passed away on Monday January 25, 2021 at the home of her daughter in Corbin, where she was surrounded by her loving family. Born in Mt. Olive, MS, she was a daughter of the late D A King and Inez Clark King. Hilda was a former employee of Sam's Club in Gulfport. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Washington Payne; son, George Daniel Payne, and by a sister Joan Ladner. Hilda is survived by her children, Laura Rogers and husband Rev. Ralph Rogers; and George Payne and wife Tricia; grandchildren, Dr. Sarah Kelly and husband Jordan; William Rogers, Patrick Payne, and Rachel Payne, and by a sister, Shirley Shill. Graveside service will be held in Gulfport, MS. Local arrangements by the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home in Corbin, Kentucky.
