Hobart Williams, age 76, passed away on December 25, 2006 at his home.
He was born on December 25, 1930 in Leslie County, Kentucky, the son of the late Robert and Alice Shell Williams, and was a retired self-employed truck driver.
Mr. Williams was a United States Army Veteran of the Korean War where he received the Purple Heart.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by Three Brothers, One Sister, and Three Half Brothers.
He is survived by his wife Betty Wilson Williams; Three Children, Connie Letchworth, Wesley Williams and wife Jane, and Merle Williams; One Step-Son, Mike Farley and wife Debbie; One Brother, Oscar Williams and wife Vivian, One Sister, Mossie Brown and husband Charlie; Two Grandsons, Alvin Letchworth and Wesley Williams Jr.; Two Great-Granddaughters, Kayla and Abigail; one Great-Grandson, Logan Williams; and two Step-Grandsons, Michael Farley II and Matthew Farley.; Numerous Nieces, Nephews, Family and Friends who will mourn his passing.
Funeral service will be on Wednesday, December 27, 2006 at 11am at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with Rev. Delmon Sizemore and Rev. Junior Baker officiating. Burial will follow in the Ward Cemetery in Laurel County with Military Honors.
Visitation will be from 6-9pm on Tuesday, December 26th at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home.
