Homer W. Masters

Homer W. Masters, 77, of Corbin, passed away Sunday, Nov. 14, 2004 at the Baptist Regional Medical Center in Corbin.
Born June 22, 1927 in Corbin, he was the son of the late Alonzo Masters and Susie Smith Masters. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Jean Grove Masters; three brothers, Phillip, Everett and Kenneth Masters; and brother-in-law L.B. (Pete) Petrey.
Homer was a lifelong member of the 17th Street Christian Church and was a retired dispatcher with CSX Railroad.
He is survived by three daughters, Amy Masters, Sherry Masters and Barbara Masters-Sadler & husband Richard, all of Corbin; sister, Virginia Petrey of Corbin; and several other family members who mourn his passing.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, Nov. 17, 2004 at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with Bro. Doug Martin officiating. Burial will be in the Cumberland Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 pm Tuesday, Nov. 16, 2004 at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home.
