Irene M. Anders

Irene M. Anders, age 84, of Corbin, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2013, at The Heritage.
She was born in Laurel County to the late Millard and Martha Prewitt Smith, and is a member of the Level Green Church of Christ.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Anders; two sons, Ronnie Anders and Stevie Anders; one grandchild, Stephanie Anders; two brothers, Marsh Smith and Earl Smith; and three sisters, Freda Smith, Iva Salmons, and Wilma Arnold.
She is survived by two daughters, Janice Allen and Brenda Smith, both of London; three sons, Tommy Anders and wife Kaye, Johnny Anders, and wife Cheryl, and Brian Anders, all of Keavy; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Alberta Leigh and Mildred Quillen; and a host of relatives and friends to mourn per passing.
Funeral service will be at 1:00 pm on Saturday, Feb. 9th, at the Poynter's Chapel Christian Church.
The family will receive friends from 6-9 pm Friday, Feb. 8th, at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home.
Burial will be in the Poynter's Chapel Cemetery at Bald Rock with grandsons and great-grandsons serving as pallbearers.
