Iva Lela Eagle

Iva Lela Eagle, age 90, of Hamilton, Ohio, passed away on Monday, Nov. 5, 2012, at Golden Years Nursing Center. She was born in Knox County, the daughter of the late George and Georgia (Bunch) Brittain.
Iva received her education through Knox County High and on August 31, 1940, married Benjamin Eagle who preceded her in death in 1961. She was a school bus driver for several school districts in Ohio, retiring in 1977.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Ben Eagle; siblings, Helen Manning, Edith Bishop, Alex, Beecher, Oscar, Parks "P.D.", and Benny Brittain; and son-in-law, Tom Sams.
She is survived by her children, Judy Eagle Sams and Douglas Ray (Barbara) Eagle; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; and daughter-in-law, Joyce Eagle.
Visitation will be held on Friday, Nov. 9, from 12 Noon until the time of the service at 2pm at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Cook and Rv. Ron Smith officiating. Burial will be in the Brafford Cemetery.
