London, KY

Jacob James Moore, age 26, of London, KY, passed away on Thursday, February 27, 2025.

Known for his hilarious anecdotes and compassionate nature, Jacob's laughter was a beacon of joy, illuminating the lives of those fortunate enough to know him. A proud graduate of Corbin High School and Morehead State University, Jacob's academic journey was highlighted by his deep involvement with the Eta Gamma chapter of Theta Chi. His professional life in sales was as vibrant and dynamic as the man himself, a mirror of his inherent ability to connect with people on a profound level.

Jacob's zest for life was palpable. His love for the outdoors and nature was evident in his hobbies that ranged from fishing to hunting, or simply taking long drives, absorbing the world around him. He was a true friend to animals and a guardian of the world's natural beauty. Yet, amidst all his adventures and accomplishments, nothing mattered more to Jacob than his family and friends. From Corbin to Morehead and everywhere in between, he was a constant source of joy and happiness, leaving a lasting positive impact on everyone he encountered. His radiant spirit continues to glow in the hearts of those he left behind, particularly his mother, Kim, and brother Zac.

He was preceded in death by his father, Gregory Moore.

Jacob is survived by his mother, Kim MacDougall Moore; brother, Zac Moore (fiancé Kristin); grandparents, James and Marge MacDougall, and Richard and Chris Moermond; aunt and uncle, Jennifer and Pat Bero, and their children, Erin and Payton; aunt and uncle, Nicky and Daniel Willbrand, and their children, Rebecca, Carter, Elaina, and Olivia; aunt, Bonnie MacDougall, and her children, Wynter and River; friends, Cody Cline, Sean Gevedon, and J.D. Prater, and a host of Theta Chi fraternity brothers.

Visitation will be held from 5-9 pm on Sunday, March 2, 2025, at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home. His funeral service will begin at 11 am on Monday, March 3, 2025, at The Creek Church in London, KY, with Rev. Jack Willis officiating.

To celebrate the joy and happiness Jacob shared with others, the family asks those attending the visitation to wear bright, uplifting colors.
