James Birch Hill

James Hill, age 60, of Woodbine, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 20, 2011, at the Baptist Regional Medical Center.
Born in Knox County, he was the son of the late William Harrison Hill and Beulah Engle Hill. He was Baptist by faith and had worked as a furniture builder.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers Shirley Ray Hill and William Hill; and his grandparents, James Riley and Fannie Jane Hubbs Hill and Oscar and Bessie Terrell Engle.
James is survived by four sisters, Phyllis Grant, Janice Grant and Donna Perkins, all of Woodbine and Rhonda McKinley of Catawba, North Carolina; one brother, Cecil Hill of Conover, North Carolina; and a host of other family and friends who mourn his passing.
Funeral service will be at 1pm Wednesday, Feb. 23, at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with Bro. Jimmy Elliott officiating. Burial will be in the Wells Cemetery. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Tuesday, Feb. 22, at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home, 607 Master Street, Corbin, KY.
