James D Helton

James D. Helton, age 76, of Corbin, passed away on Friday June 28, 2019 at his home.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Marie Helton; Daughter, Martina Helton; Step Son, Jason Greer; and by his Brother in law, Roy Prewitt, Sr.
James was a retired contractor and Baptist by Faith; a member of the West Knox Game Club, he loved fising and hunting.  His greatest love was his family, especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his Wife, Debra Helton; Children; Tora Sue Bays, Timothy Helton, and Rev. James "JJ" Helton Jr.; Step Sons, Scott Hope and Robert Greer; Siblings, Kenneth Helton (Kathy), Larry Helton (Sally), and Etta Prewitt; and by 13 Grandchildren and 8 Great Grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home on Monday July 1, 2019 from 12noon until his funeral service at 2pm.
