James Edward 'Jim' Trivette

James Edward "Jim" Trivette, age 73, entered into his eternal glory to be with Jesus Christ his Lord and Savior, on Sunday, December 28, 2014.
Jim was born in Virgie, Pike County, Kentucky, son of the late Warren F. Trivette and Gracie Hall Trivette. He was a 1963 graduate from Eastern Kentucky University. After graduating, he began his career with the Internal Revenue Service as a collections manager. He retired in 1991 when he began his second career as a real estate agent, working for Rawlings Realty in Corbin. Jim recently helped as a dedicated and caring employee for the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home.
Jim became a member in 1974 of First United Methodist Church in Corbin and remains a faithful member of Grace On The Hill United Methodist Church, where he served and held various positions within the church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his Brothers, Joseph R. Trivette and Warren M. Trivette.
Jim is survived by his Wife of 52 years, Opal L. Jackson Trivette; Son, James Chase Trivette and wife Amy; Daughter, Kim Hamlin and husband Stuart; Grandchildren, Gary Addison Hamlin and fiancée Sandi Prewitt, Joseph Warren Hamlin, and Chloe Elise Trivette; Mother in law, Daisy Burgan all of Corbin; Sister in law, Sandra Trivette, of Virgie, KY; and by numerous special cousins and friends.
Funeral service for Jim Trivette will be held at 1pm on Thursday, January 1, 2015 at Grace On The Hill United Methodist Church in Corbin with Rev. Weyman McGuire, Rev. Tim Thompson, and Rev. James Stratton officiating.
Burial will be in the Pine Hill Cemetery in Corbin.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 31, 2014 from 6-8pm at Grace On The Hill and on Thursday Jan 1st from 12noon until 1pm at the church.
