James Roger Coffey, 59, of Corbin, passed away Sunday, April 20, in Corbin.
Born in Yukon, West Virginia, he was a self-employed mechanic and was Pentecostal by faith.
He was preceded in death by his father, William Kelcie Coffey; and by two brothers, Ronnie Coffey and Duane Sykes.
He is survived by his wife, Jill Coffey; three sons, Bryan Coffey and wife Virginia, Roger Coffey and wife Barb, and Bill Coffey, all of Corbin; mother, Gloria Edna Rogers Coffey; brothers and sisters, Wanda Russell of Corbin, Linda Kinney and husband Everett of Corbin, Barbara Barton of Corbin, Gene Coffey and wife Rose of Burlington, Donna Bass of Corbin, Robby Beach and wife Vonelle of Keavy, and Jeff Sykes of Corbin; three grandsons, J.B., Preston and Dylan Coffey; three granddaughters, Tosha, Kayla and Tabitha Coffey; one great-granddaughter, Brianna Coffey; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends including special friend John Brown of Corbin, all who mourn his passing.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 pm Friday, April 25, at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Stansbury Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6-9 pm Thursday at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home.
