James Ward, Jr.

James Ward, Jr., 88, of Corbin, passed away Sunday, May 8, 2016 at Christian Health Center of Corbin.
He was born July 15, 1927, in Whitley County to the late James Q. and Fannie Harp Ward.
Besides his mother and father, he was preceded in death by one brother, Clelland Ward; and five sisters: Cecil Mayne, Flora Taylor, Addie Angel, Lena Wilder, and Rena Harris.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Iva Hickey Ward; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be at 11:00 A.M. Friday, May 13, 2016, at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with Dr. Terrell Bradley officiating.
Burial will be in the Sutton-Pemberton Cemetery with family serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home.
Memorials are suggested to Alzheimers Research or Cystic Fibrosis.
