Jan Rose Pope

Jan Rose Pope, 85, of Batavia, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2009, at her residence.
Born in London, KY, she was the daughter of the late Walter S. and Sallie Cornett Brewer. She was a homemaker and a member of Piney Grove Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Green Pope.
She is survived by her son, Steven Douglas Pope and wife Debra of Walton, Kentucky; two grandchildren, Meredith Beck and husband Joe, and Andrew Pope; sister, Mae Royce House of Gray; and a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.
Funeral services will be held at 7 pm Friday, Dec. 4, at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with Rev. Jack Smith and Rev. Bob Lockhart officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6-7 pm Friday, Dec. 4, at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home.
