Janette Ruiz

Janette Ruiz, age 83, of Williamsburg, KY, passed away on Monday, April 8, 2024, at Mountain View Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Pineville, KY.

Born in Nashville, TN, she was the daughter to the late Lloyd Andrew Seymore and Lillian Brewster Seymore. Janette worked as a nursing aide for Shriners Hospital. She loved celebrations, the opportunity to make others feel special on a big day brought her great joy. While she loved celebrating over a meal, she is most remembered for the many cards and letters she would send. Her cards were a way for her to spread love and share her faith.

In addition to her parents, Lillie and Lloyd, she is preceded in death by her brother, L.C. Seymore; sons, Terry, Kenneth, and Keith Osborne; and one grandson, Daniel Brandenburg.

She is survived by her daughter, Debra Brandenburg; brother, Dan Seymore; grandchildren, Crystal Kobos (Derek), Debbie Thomas (Roger), Reva Janette Brandenburg, Shelby Brandenburg (Brandie), and April McCaig (Jim); great grandchildren, Kayla, Lily, Danielle, Alyssia, Autumn, Hannah, Deanna, Rosie, Tasha, Carol, Ashlyn, Nora, Willow, Benny, Kaci, Steven, Joey, Arianah, and Razzlie; great-great grandson, Parker Jace; and special friends, Joe Angelastri, Diane Santino, Billy Kennedy, and Cleda "Cleo" Smith.

Visitation will be held from 12-2pm on Saturday, April 13, 2024, at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home, where her funeral service will follow at 2pm with Rev. Greg McClain officiating.

Burial will follow at Pine Hill Cemetery in Corbin with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
