Janice M Hamlin

Janice M. Hamlin, 87, of Corbin passed away Monday, October 17, 2022, at her home. Born in Corbin, she was the daughter of the late Robert J. and Dora F. Prewitt Holtzclaw. She was also preceded in death by brothers Gary Holtzclaw, Robert Holtzclaw, Jr., and Gene Holtzclaw.

As a young lady, Janice had worked at First National Bank and Corbin Deposit Bank before becoming a secretary for AT&T. She was a lifelong member of First Christian Church in Corbin. She lived in Florida several years before returning to Corbin about ten years ago.

Her survivors include her husband Chester L. Vogler of Corbin; two children: Stuart Hamlin and wife Kim of Corbin, and Signe Clayton and husband Tom of Paducah; four grandchildren: Addison Hamlin and wife Sandi, Joseph Hamlin, Katie Greenwell and husband Kyle, and Ben Clayton and wife Molly; and five great grandchildren: Darci Hamlin, Heath Hamlin, Grant Hamlin, Mason Greenwell, and Sadie Clayton.

A private committal service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, October 21 at Cumberland Memorial Gardens with Dr. Robert Tibbs officiating. Interment will follow.

Memorials are suggested to First Christian Church in Corbin.
