Janie Marie Grubb

Janie Marie Grubb, age 63, of Woodbine, KY, passed away on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at Rockcastle Regional Hospital. 

Born in Manchester, KY, she was the daughter of the late George Brumley and Nettie Smith Brumley. Family was the cornerstone of Janie's existence; she was a devoted wife, a nurturing mother, a doting grandmother, and an adored great grandmother. Her tender care knew no bounds, and her presence was a source of comfort and joy to all. Her infectious laughter and boundless love created a tight-knit family unit that was her pride and joy. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Grubb; infant sister, Betty Jean Brumley; brothers, Homer Brumley, Abraham Brumley, and James Smith; and stepbrother, Wayne Brumley. 

Janie is survived by her children, Johnny Grubb, Jr., Eva Grubb, Troy Grubb, and Adam Grubb; 19 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; brothers, Michael Brumley and Phil Brumley; sisters, Mary Harrell, Bammer Lay, Rita Branham, and Sharon Flannelly; and by a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Visitation will be held from 6-8 pm on Friday, February 14, 2025, at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home, where her funeral service will follow at 8 pm with Kenny Hutton officiating.
