Jay Bee Brock

Jay Bee Brock, age 75, of Gray, passed away on Wednesday, December 14, 2011, at his home.
Born in California Hollow, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Jarvis and Fannie Gambrel Brock. He was a U.S. Navy veteran serving in the Korean War. He was a member of the Gray Baptist Church, a Mason and Past Master of Cumberland Valley Masonic Lodge #751 in Gray, and was a self-employed welder.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-sister, Ada Taylor; brother, Harrison Brock; and step-brothers, Hestal Brock and Albert Brock.
He is survived by his wife, Janice Hughes Brock; sons, Donnie Brock and wife Darlene, Carl Brock and wife Debbie, Melvin Brock, Jay Bee Brock Jr. and wife Rhonda, Paul Brock and wife Tina, and Charles Dugger; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; brother, Charles Brock; step-brother, Charles Jones; and sisters, Edna Hoskins and Ruth Brock, all who mourn his passing.
Funeral service will be at 3:00 pm Sunday, Dec. 18, 2011, at the Gray Baptist Church with Rev. Darrell Warren, Rev. Dan Watkins, and Rev. Brandon Azbill officiating. Burial will be in the Gray Cemetery with military graveside rites by American Legion Post 88. Sons will serve as pallbearers, and grandsons will serve as honorary pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 6-9 pm Saturday, Dec. 17, at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home, 607 Master Street, Corbin, KY.
