Jerry Wayne Mason

Jerry W. Mason, age 75, of Corbin, passed away on Sunday, August 17, 2014 at Baptist Health.
Born in Faber, Kentucky, Jerry was the son of the late Walker and Georgia Harris Mason. He was a member of Faber Baptist Church and of Hugh Harris Masonic Lodge 938 F&AM. He loved cars and enjoyed the Cumberland Cruise In.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers Bruce, Ray and Burt Mason.
He is survived by his wife, Teresa Mason; two sons: David Mason (Linda), and Mark Mason (Idella); two step-sons: Jason Platt and Justin Platt (Shannon); nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers: Jim Mason (Diane) and Bill Mason (Louise); sister, Jane Pickett; and numerous nieces and nephews, including special niece Amanda Smith.
Funeral service will be at 11am on Thursday, Aug. 21st, at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home. Burial will be in Smith Cemetery at Faber.
The family will receive friends from 6-9 pm on Wednesday, Aug. 20th at the funeral home.
