Jesse J. Kidd, 78, of Corbin, passed away Wednesday, December 14, 2005 at the Baptist Regional Medical Center.
Born October 3, 1927 in Whitley County, he was the son of the late Clarence Kidd and Flora Deaton Kidd. He was a press operator for Fisher Body Stamping and a member of the Harvest Community Assembly of God Church. He was also a veteran of WWII serving in the U.S. Army Air Corps.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter Sharon Williams; a son Gary Kidd; two sisters, Barbara Simmons and infant Sally Kidd; and a brother, Billy Kidd.
He is survived by his wife Laquata Collins Kidd; his children, Vickie Brummett and husband Benny of Marion, Indiana, Chasidy Kidd of Corbin, Billy Kidd of Indiana, Christopher Kidd of Corbin, Emily Hoskins of East Bernstadt, Terry Mullins of Corbin, Jim Mullins of Portland, Oregon, and Patrick Wayne Mullins of Cincinnati; three brothers, Roy Kidd, James Kidd and Samuel Kidd; two sisters, Frances Kidd and Betty McFarland; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday at the Harvest Community Assembly of God Church with Rev. Ronnie Smith and Revs. Ron and Ruby Smith officiating. Burial will be on Tuesday, Dec. 20, at the Baltimore Pike Cemetery in Cincinnati, Ohio.
The family will receive friends from 6-9 pm Sunday, December 18, 2005 at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home and from 11:00 am until the funeral hour on Monday at the church.
