Jesse R. Hughett

Jesse R. Hughett, 59, of Newton, NC, formerly of Corbin, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2006 in Hickory, NC. He was a U.S. Army veteran. His survivors include his wife, Vivian, of Newton, N.C.; three sons, Dustin Hughett of Newton, Timothy Hughett of Clarksville, Tennessee, and Damion Wise of Ohio; two daughters, Brandy Sturgill of Corbin and Debra Young of Clarksville; seven grandchildren; his mother, Nannie Hicks Hughett; two sisters and six brothers. He leaves behind other family members and many friends to cherish memories of him.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 pm Thursday, Dec. 7, 2006 at the Hart Funeral Home with Rev. Hank Bowman officiating. Burial will follow in the Miracle Family Cemetery at Keavy. Pallbearers will be family members.
The 21 gun salute, the playing of taps and the presentation of the flag will be conducted by the D.A.V. Chapter 158 of Keavy and Chapter 66 of London. The family will receive friends from 11 am until the funeral hour Thursday, Dec. 7, at the Hart Funeral Home.
