Jessie Elizabeth Collins

Jessie Elizabeth Collins, age 79, of Corbin, passed away on Saturday, July 14, 2007, at the Baptist Hospital East in Louisville, Kentucky.
She was born in Whitley County to the late Charles Bryant and Susie Moore Bryant, and was a member of the Piney Grove Baptist Church in Corbin.
She was a longtime employee of both the Southeastern Baptist Hospital and Baptist Regional Medical Center in Corbin, where she retired from Outpatient Admitting.
In addition to her Parents, she was preceded in death by her Husband Elijah Albert Collins Jr., in 1994; Two Brothers, Luther and Charles Bryant Jr., and by one Sister, Pauline Sebastian.
She is survived by her Daughter, Barbara Gregory and husband Harold of Louisville, Son, Don Collins of Corbin; Two Grandchildren, James Gregory and wife Catherine, and Amanda Waters and husband Dwayne;  and by a Great Granddaughter, Shelby Gregory all of Louisville; One Brother, Wayne Earls of Nicholasville, KY; Three Sisters, Jean Sturgill of Columbus, OH, Freda Alsip and Ann Carroll, both of Corbin. She is also survived by many family and friends who will mourn her passing.
Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 17, 2007, at 1pm at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with Rev. Golvin Chadwell officiating. Burial will follow in the Pine Hill Cemetery in Corbin.
Visitation will be from 6-9pm Monday at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home.
