Jessie V. Morgan

Jessie V. Morgan, age 83, of Corbin, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday May 5, 2022, at Baptist Health in Corbin, Kentucky. He was born in Krupp, Kentucky, a son to the late Erman A. Morgan and Laura Sulfridge Morgan. Jessie was a retired plumber and member of Whippoorwill Pentecostal Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, April Morgan, son, Cain Shipman, and by his siblings, Ronnie Morgan and Letha Marsee. Jessie is survived by his wife, Esther Rains Morgan, children, Deborah Miracle, Bonnie Powell, Ricky Stanley, Thomas Stanley, and Jovanna Vanover, siblings, Ralph Morgan, Jerry Morgan, Geraldine Morgan, and Retha Osborn, stepchildren, Keith Stanley, Larry Stanley, Lisa Ragen, Joy Shipman, Sandra Stanley, and Billy Stanley, 45 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 6-8pm on Monday May 9, 2022, at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home, where his funeral service will be held at 2pm on Tuesday May 10, 2022.
