Jewel Virginia Jackson

Jewel V. Jackson, age 84, of Corbin, passed away on Thursday, March 28, 2013, at Baptist Health Corbin.
Born in Gray, KY, she was the daughter of the late James Leonard Ellison and Nancy Brewer Ellison. She was a retired buyer for Belk Simpson, and was a member of the Bacon Creek Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Charles, Cheslie and Leslie Ellison; and sisters, Bertie Estes, Juanita Hatcher, and Merle Ridener.
She is survived by her husband, Harold "Cotton" Jackson; two sons, Dennis Jackson and wife Judy C. and James L. Jackson; sister, Geneva Chaney; six grandchildren: Paige Moore, Brandon Jackson, Tyler Jackson, Megan Branum, Ben Larrabee, and James Larrabee; and five great-grandchildren: Chris Jackson, Sydney Moore, Taylor Moore, Ian Jackson, and Reese Moore, all who mourn her passing.
Visitation will be from 1:00pm Saturday, March 30, until the funeral at 3:00 pm at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with Rev. Max Cox and Rev. Darvin Wells officiating. Burial will follow in the Pine Hill Cemetery.
