Jewell Frances Taft

Jewell Frances Taft, age 82, of Corbin, passed away on Friday, March 17, 2006 in Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington.
She was born on March 13, 1924 in Whitley County to the late Reuben Chumley and Lucy Scalf Chumley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her Husband, William E. "Red" Taft; three Brothers, Horace, Claude, and Sewell Chumley.
She is survived by her son Bill Taft and wife Deborah; her Daughter, Druscilla Walters and husband Leland all of Corbin; Brother, Lawrence Chumley and wife Kunya of Apollo Beach, FL; Sister, Christine Garland of Bailey's Switch, KY;  and Numerous Grandchildren, Nieces, and Nephews.
Funeral service will be at 11:00 am Tuesday, March 21, at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with Pastor John Carter and Rev. Ronnie Smith officiating.
Burial will follow in the Rest Haven Cemetery in Corbin.
Visitation will be from 6:00-9:00 pm on Monday at the funeral home.
