Jimmy Lynn King

Jimmy Lynn King, age 69, of Corbin, was called to his home in Heaven by his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday June 20, 2014. He passed away resting comfortably at his home surrounded by his loving family.
He was preceded in death by his Father, James D. King.
Jimmy is survived by his Wife, Dora Inman King; Mother, Imogene King; Brother Terry King; four Daughters, Melinda Giles and her friend Dennis Delph, Tammy Frazier and husband Kelly, Ronda Calton and husband Jim, and Melissa Holt and husband Coy; two Sons, Jimmy Lee King and wife Renee and Jerry Lynn King; nine Grandchildren who love him very much: Courtney Frazier, Tyler Carr, Dustin Frazier, Ryan Carr, Adora Holt, Dakota Carr, Candace Giles, Colton Holt, and Kylie Carr; and by many many other relatives and friends who mourn his passing.
Jimmy was a graduate of Lynn Camp High School and then proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. After his military service he worked for CSX for 33years before retiring. He was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church in Corbin, where he served the Lord Jesus Christ and worked to lead others to Christ.
Jimmy will be dearly missed on this earth by all who knew him, and because of his faith and belief, we also believe and we shall see him again.
Funeral service for Jimmy Lynn King will be held at 3:00 pm Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with Rev. Vernon Morris officiating.
Burial will follow with Military Honors in Cumberland Memorial Gardens in Lily with Kelly Frazier, Coy Holt, Dennis Delph, Jim Calton, Tyler Carr, Dustin Frazier, Ryan Carr, Dakota Carr and Colton Holt serving as Pall Bearers.
