Jimmy Wade Collins

Jimmy "Big Jim" Collins, 59, of Corbin and formerly of Harlan, passed away Saturday, April 9, 2005 at his home.
Born January 22, 1946 in Harlan to the late John and Molly Hubbard Collins, he was a retired truck driver and heavy equipment operator.
He is survived by his wife Norma Hall Collins of Corbin; 2 Sons, James Andrew "Jimbo" Collins and wife Thelma and Hubert Wade Collins; 3 Grandchildren, Brooklyn McKenzie Collins, James Andrew Collins II, and Sara Marie Collins; 2 Brothers, John Collins and David Collins; and 4 Sisters, Jody Goss, Iona Gilbreath, Carolyn Green and Bobbie Alison.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 am Tuesday, April 11, at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Robert King and Rev. Randall Lee officiating. Burial will be in the Larkey Family Cemetery in London. James Collins, Wade Collins, William King, Carlos Babb, Jimmy Shepherd and Matt Oliphant will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 5-9 pm Monday at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home.
