John Ira Slucher

John Ira Slucher, 94, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2007, in Columbia City, Indiana.
Born in Frankfort, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Emmitt and Cornelia Armstrong Slucher. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Hugh Slucher and James Slucher.
He is survived by his son, Van Slucher of Fort Wayne, Indiana; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Pauline Stewart of California; and brother, Albert Eugene Slucher of Phoenix, Arizona.
Funeral services will be at 2 pm Saturday, Nov. 24, 2007 at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Cook officiating. Burial will follow in Cumberland Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 12-2:00 pm Saturday, Nov. 24, at the funeral home.
