Joy Colleen Lanham, age 90, of Corbin, KY passed away on November 7, 2022, at the Willows at Fritz Farm in Lexington, KY.
She was born in Whitley County, Ky on September 13, 1932, the daughter of Carl and Mallie Helton Wilder.
In addition to her parents, she was proceeded in death by her beloved husband Ernest F. Lanham, her oldest son Scott Faulkner, her brother F.S. Wilder and sister Faye Begley.
Colleen enjoyed travel, fishing, golfing and gospel music. As a young woman she played the piano for her father’s gospel quartet and later at Trinity United Methodist Church. She also enjoyed frequent lunches with her dear group of friends, The Sissy Dogs. It must be mentioned, according to her family, she made the best chicken ‘n dumplings and green beans in KY. She was a long-time member of Grace on the Hill Church, which she loved and was beloved.
Colleen is survived by her children Ginger Faulkner Shutt (Mike), Todd Faulkner (Lisa),
Kay Lanham Isaacs (Steve), Kent Lanham (Pam), Joie Lanham Rose (Tony), her brother Willis Wilder (Pat), sixteen grandchildren who loved their Gran and numerous great grandchildren.
Hers was a life well live lived. Her smile and love of Jesus were her trademarks.
Visitation for Colleen will be from 11am until 1pm Monday November 14, 2022, at Grace On The Hill Church, 1632 Falls Road in Corbin, KY. Her funeral service will be at 1pm on Monday with Rev. Weyman McGuire and Rev. Tony Rose officiating.
Burial will follow at Cumberland Memorial Gardens in Lily, Kentucky.
