Joyce Ann Thorpe

Joyce "Ann" Thorpe, age 77, of Corbin, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday June 9, 2022, at Baptist Health in Corbin. She was born on June 12, 1944, in Corbin, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Delbert Tipton Messer and Sylvia Lee Faddis Messer. Ann was a retired cook from Corbin Independent Schools. On Sunday June 12, 2022, she would have celebrated 60years being married to her husband, Cleland Thorpe. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Linda Houser. Ann is survived by her loving family, her husband Cleland L. Thorpe, children, Leslie Ann Thorpe and Brian Nathan Thorpe (Stephanie), grandchildren, Austin Thorpe, Zachary Thorpe, and Piper Thorpe, siblings, Pauline Worley, Pat Butler, Brenda Duncan, Barbara White, Tip Messer Jr., and Wesley Messer, and by her loving puppy "Little Rascal" Visitation will be from 12-2pm on her birthday and anniversary, Sunday June 12, 2022, at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home, where her funeral service will be held at 2pm.
