Joyce C. Dizney

Joyce C. Dizney, 88, of Corbin, KY passed away Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at Baptist Health Corbin.
A native of Corbin, Joyce was a daughter of the late Curtis and Rushie Harp Lawson.  In addition, she was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years Henry Allen Dizney, a son Scott Dizney, and grandson Gabe Dizney.
She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church where she helped with various church activities as long as she was able.  She was a past member of the Corbin Womens Club.  Joyce had worked with her parents and other family members at the Weed Laundry in Corbin.
Survivors include a son Curt Dizney and his wife Shelia of Corbin;  four grandchildren: Kristen Thomason and husband Will, Eric Dizney and wife Sarah, Brandon Dizney, and Zach Dizney;  six great grandchildren;  a sister Nina Brooks;  and her cousins, her Church family, and some nieces and nephews.
Joyce's visitation will begin at 1 pm Sunday, July 29, at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home.  Her funeral service will follow there at 3 pm with Rev. Austin Carty officiating.  Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to First Baptist Church in Corbin.
