Joyce Jean Parks

Joyce Jean Parks, 71, of Villa Hills, KY passed away Saturday, January 16, 2016 in St. Elizabeth Hospital at Florence, KY.
Born at Corbin, she was preceded in death by her parents Leslie Ellison, Sr. and Jean Martin Ellison, and a sister Barbara Lebanion.
Joyce was a Baptist by faith and had worked as a certified nursing attendant at Baptist Towers at Erlanger. She enjoyed gardening, traveling, visiting yard sales and flea markets, and time spent with her family.
Survivors include her husband of 52 years, Gene Edward Parks, Sr.; four children: Gene Edward Parks, Jr., Michelle Rauyna Johnson, Leslie Steven Parks and David Lee Parks; four grandsons and three great granddaughters; two sisters: Patty Humphrey and Libby Niesche; a brother, Leslie Ellison, Jr.; and several nieces and nephews.
Joyce's visitation will begin at 11am Wednesday, Jan. 20, at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home. Her funeral will follow at 1pm with Rev. Leslie Ellison, Jr. officiating. Burial will be at the Monhollon Cemetery.
