Juanita Miller Lawson, age 84, of Corbin, went to her eternal rest on Tuesday, December 4, 2007, at Oak Tree Hospital in Corbin.
She was preceded in death by her Husband, Joseph Lawson in 1994; Son, Ralph Douglas Lawson in 1998; Father, John W. Miller, Mother, Annie Miller; Six Sisters, and Four Brothers.
Mrs. Lawson is survived by two Daughters, Jeanette "Bea" Shumate and Shellie Hash, both of Corbin; Son-in-law, "Her Buddy" Rev. Glen Shumate; Beloved Grandchildren: Tammy Baker and husband Jerry, Douglas Shumate and wife Christy, Krystal Wilson and husband Mike, Joseph Hash and wife Sherri, and Julie Hash; Six Great Grandchildren, Stacy Carroll, Holly Taylor and husband Stephen, Bradley Baker, Savannah Wilson, Shelly Wilson, and Brady Helton; One Great-Great Grandson, Cameron Carroll; Two Sisters, Colleen Westfelt and Lura Babb and husband Henry; Special Nephew and Niece, Doyle and Maxine Lawson as well as numerous Nieces and Nephews, along with a host of relatives and friends who will deeply mourn her passing.
Funeral service will be at 2pm on Saturday, December 8, 2007, at the Park Hill Pentecostal Holiness Church in Corbin. Burial will follow in the Perkins Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jerry, Gary, and Bradley Baker, Stephen Taylor, Douglas Shumate, and Joseph Hash. Honorary Pallbearers will be Rev. Glen Shumate, Doyle Lawson, and Earl Barton.
Visitation will be on Friday, December 7, 2007 from 6-9pm at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home.
