Keith A. Sparks

Keith A. Sparks, age 56, of Rockholds, KY, passed away at Baptist Health Corbin, on Tuesday, February 18, 2025. 

In the vibrant tapestry of life, adventurous souls leave the most brilliant threads. One such soul, Keith, has left us with a vibrant legacy of dedication, love, and resilience. Keith's adventurous spirit shone like a beacon, whether he was four-wheeling, shooting, or jet skiing. His love for the outdoors was only rivaled by his love for service. 

A veteran of the United States Air Force, Keith's dedication was evident in his 5 years of service to his country. His resilient spirit guided him through a 25-year career as a Law Enforcement Officer in North Carolina, his dedication echoing through the halls of JCSO, Selma Police Department, Micro Police Department, Princeton Police Department, Pine Level Fire Department, and Pine Level Police Department. His loving and devoted nature was brilliantly reflected as he served as the Chief of Police at Pine Level Police Department, a role he embraced with the same warmth and dedication he brought into every aspect of his life. 

Keith's love, however, extended far beyond his service. He was a devoted husband, brother, father, and friend. Above all, Keith cherished his grandchildren; they were his pride and joy. His memory will forever be a testament to a life lived with adventure, dedication, love, and resilience. 

He was preceded in death by his fathers, Charles Sparks and Robert Sparks; and grandparents, Charles and Mary Swindell.

Keith is survived by his wife, Donna Davis Sparks; daughters, Danielle Sparks; Katelyn (Erika), and their children, Levi and Abi; daughter, Ashley, and her children, Jay, Brooke, and Lyric; daughter, Brittini (Greg) and their children, Avery, Autumn, and Aubrey; grandmother, Jean; brother, Ron Sparks (Angie) and their children, Brandon, Gage, and Rachel; brother, John Sparks (Nicole) and their children, Brody, Chase, and Paisley. 

Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home. His funeral service will follow at 8 p.m., with Rev. Ronnie Smith officiating. 

At a later date, the family will organize a life celebration in Johnson County, NC, to allow his home community the opportunity to celebrate and honor his life. 

Keith accepted people as they were with love and kindness. To honor him the Sparks family encourages you to dress casually and come as you are for his visitation and service.
