Kenneth Ray Roberts

March 7, 1944 — January 29, 2006

Kenneth Ray Roberts, 61, of Spider Creek Rd., Corbin, passed away Sunday, Jan. 29, 2006 at his residence.
Born March 7, 1944 in Barbourville, he was the son of Andy Roberts of Gray and the late Maggie Smith Roberts. He was an industrial painter and a member of the Church of God.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his daughter Robin Sargent; one sister, Opal Roberts; five brothers, Chester, Lester, Codell, Glend and Shirl Roberts.
He is survived by his wife Gwendolyn Sue Roberts of Gray; father, Andy Roberts of Gray; three sons, Ssgt. Christopher Roberts currently stationed in Fort Campbell, KY and his wife Jennifer, Kenneth Ray Roberts Jr. and Brian Roberts of Michigan; four grandchildren Datrick Roberts and Madyson Roberts of Gray, Timmothy Roberts and Amanda Roberts of Michigan; five brothers, Arthur Roberts, Harold Roberts and Johnny Roberts of Michigan, Jay Roberts of Stanford, KY & David Roberts of Gray; eight sisters, Annamae Lewis, Peggy Engle, Susie Dean Cornett all of Gray, Geraldine Childers, Linda Thorpe and Carolyn Roberts of Michigan, Betty Davis and Aveinilla Hinton of Texas; several nieces and nephews too numerous to mention; and a dear and special friend Ralph Goss. Special thanks to Dr. Jorjani, Dr. Mackey, and Dr. Vaezy for their excellent care.
Funeral service will be on Sunday, Feb. 5, 2006 at 2pm at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with Rev. Johnny Farmer and Rev. Dan Watkins officiating. Burial will follow in the Gray Cemetery.
Visitation will be on Saturday from 1pm until 9pm at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home.
