Kenneth Richard "Rick" Shepherd

Kenneth Richard "Rick" Shepherd, age 57, of Corbin, KY, passed away on Saturday, April 30, 2022, at Baptist Health Corbin. Born in Corbin, he was the son of Kenneth Burl Shepherd and Bonnie Bradley Shepherd. Rick worked for 20 years as a quality engineer at Aisin Automotive. He loved golfing, bowling, and was an avid Tennessee Vols fan. Rick was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Burl Shepherd; maternal grandparents, Glen and Ida Bradley; and paternal grandparents, Tom and Mary Shepherd. He is survived by his loving wife who never left his side, Teresa Dotson Shepherd; mother, Bonnie Shephard; one special daughter, Brandi (Todd); stepdaughter, Kristi; stepson, Kevin (Heather); sister, Kim Adkins (Darrell); 12 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; one niece; one nephew; two special uncles and one aunt; and 8 great nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 12-2pm on Wednesday, May 4, 2022, at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home, where his funeral service will follow at 2pm with Rev. Gerald Mullins and Rev. Lester Cox officiating. Burial will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery in Corbin, KY, with Hunter Powell, Tanner Powell, Ben Standifer, Adam Standifer, Todd Standifer, Robert Rookstool, Brian Evans, and Timothy Harrison serving as pallbearers.
